The proposed development is straight down this road about a half mile or so. During a major flood, it is totally cut off and vehicular access is impossible.

Nov 17 2003: Here we have the river at about 19 ft. You can just see the grass poking up out of the water on The Harbor Island. This is really late in the season and most boats been pulled for winter storage ashore. A few were forced to flee to other floating docks.

Sep 23 2004: This is the upper end of The Harbor at app 20 ft. Notice The Harbor Island is gone and the river has overrun the Beargrass point. The white post is at the bottom of the entrance drive, usually about 100 ft from the waters edge.

May 3 2005: This is the river at app 17 ft on the upper gauge and the water is even with the top of The Harbor Island. This level in this and the previous group are common from early Oct till mid June.

55.2 - Water reaches top of floodwall.

53.0 - Sandbagging of low areas of Louisville floodwall begin.

52.0 - Flooding begins in Jeffersonville city limits. Shelby Street in Louisville is closed at floodgate.

50.0 - Jackson Street, Schoeffel Alley, Hancock Street, Preston Street and 13th Street and closed at floodgates.

48.0 - Franklin, 18th, and 26th Streets are closed at floodgates.

47.0 - Clay Street, Letterle Avenue, and Washington Street are closed at floodgates.

44.0 - Campbell, 12th, Franklin, Wenzel, and Adams Streets are closed at floodgates.

42.0 - Buchanan and Cabel Streets are closed at floodgate.

40.0 - Mellwood Avenue, Webster Street, and Rowan Street are closed at floodgate.

38.0 - 6th, 7th and 8th Streets are closed at floodgates. US 42 floods at Harrods Creek.

36.0 - 11th Street is closed at floodgates.

29.0 - Parts of Utica IN flood. Third Street ramp off of I-64 is closed. 10th and 27th Streets are closed at floodgates.

28.0 - River Road at Goose Creek is flooded. Beachland Beach is cut off.

27.0 - River Road at Zorn Avenue is flooded.

25.5 - River Road at Indian Hill Trail is flooded.

24.5 - Waldoah Beach and Transylvania Beach are cut off. Mockingbird Valley Road is flooded between River Road and Mellwood Avenue.

23.0 - Some sections of River Road are closed near Cox's Park. Eifler Beach and Juniper Beach are cut off.
